We went over the mountain pass to pick up my son Stud Muffin this afternoon. WOW what a gorgeous day we had again today. I made my husband stop so I could grab a quick pic or two. Nothing special with my crappy camera but either way, thought I'd share. :)

Since moving back to Oregon I have not had the chance to make it back to my old stomping grounds. My bestie Shannon drove the entire 6 hour trip (there and back) to come get me so I could see some of my friends. Of course, a good time was had by all...maybe even a little too much fun that is ;) I also went over the river and thru the woods and got to see some snow on the mountain pass!

Our favorite past time has now become an obsession........

We were finally blessed with an entire day with sun here yesterday. It has done nothing but rain since the beginning of December. Not sure what it is but Lola seems to have a fond affection for the fat snowman. She has not left his side since Frosty came out of the box. It's actually quite cute. Matter of fact, she is laying on his lap wedged in between him and the folded laundry as I type this. Last night I decorated their stockings with glitter glue. Hope Santa leaves them a bone or two.

Webkinz boy turns 11

Couldn't afford much this year as far as parties go but we did manage to have a small birthday party for Webkinz boy and a couple of his new friends. On his actual birthday I cooked him a homemade dinner of his favorites: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and buttermilk biscuits. I also made some chocolate chip cookies. We then went off to see New Moon at the theater. All in all it was a great birthday and birthday party.

Civil War Day UofO vs. OSU

The biggest civil war game in Oregon state history. The teams were playing for the Rose Bowl. Everyone in the family are Duck fans except Webkinz boy who is an OSU Beavers fan. This was a hige game!

The first touchdown of the game belonged to us!

Porkchops team blew this team away yet again with a 33-6 win. It was awesome and I was so proud! He came off that field smiling ear to ear, clutching that medal like it was made of gold! Way to go Lions!!!!! We love you Porkchop!

Porkchops championship game was this Saturday at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. The stadium was extremely high tech. It has been remodeled roughly five years ago. I have been to one or two professional games as a child but I have never seen college football live. I have been at the original stadium when I was pregnant with my oldest son. I saw the Greatful Dead there. This newly remodeled version blew me away. I am a HUGE Oregon Ducks fan so I was stoked to be there.

We got there a little late so we didn't get to see Porkchop before the game started. My sister in law and her family came to the game to cheer him on. They played a team that they smeared before. We were excited to see them demolish them again.

This Jumbo tron was freaking cool as all get out! I could see every player up close and personal :)

We had us a lot of fun cheering and screaming up in the seats. We weren't too far away from the field so the view was pretty good.

I have invited a lot of our family to view this blog and I know there are some of you that are blogger impaired. So, in an attempt to make this easier, here are some tips.

Somewhere on this blog there are buttons to subscribe. What this means is, if you want to be notified by email when I have posted something new so you do not have to remember to check, you can sign up on various feeds to do just that. Alert you. You do have to sign up an account on some but they, we are worth it right? LOL
You can also sign up with a blogger account of your own. That does not mean you have to create a blog but you can sign up and you can create a profile with your picture and you can comment on this blog. That way I know you were here and you can sign on any time and your "dashboard" will show you my newest posts.
You do not have to have an account to comment. Just click on the comments link at the end of each post and comment anonymously but please leave your name so I know how much you love me LOL
Also, I think it is on the top of my page...could be wrong but, I am pretty sure it is...anyway there is a blog archive button. If you haven't visited in awhile you can click on it and choose whichever month it is. You will then see every post made thus far for that month. That way you do not miss anything I have posted. If you care :P LOL
Last but not least....I love comments. It lets me know you were here. That, and it makes me feel special LMAO...I know, you really care about me feeling special but do remember the this is the kids blog too and they would love to hear from you. I want this blog to be a way to open the communication between us family members who are far away. Kids love that crap and well, I do too. It's hard to be so far away from those we love and do not get to see often, if ever.

October 2009

My step son started his first year of playing Pop Warner football. It has been such a joy watching him and his team kicking some serious booty. Today is the last day of the finals and if they win they go to the championship game 2 weeks from now. They are undefeated and if they win today they get to play at the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium...home of the Oregon Ducks football! I am so excited! Doesn't he look great in that uniform?

I am going to start with the only half way good pictures I took while living in Texas. I had a fairly nice camera at the time but my son broke it and now I do not have the funds for a camera that is anywhere as nice :( This is a picture of Clear Lake from our balcony. I must say this place was a bright spot while living there. I do miss Texas and I am sure you can see why by these pictures.
